energy supplier chooses deister proSafe key management
 When
there are large numbers of employees working on multiple sites
all around the world, mislaid or lost keys can quickly result
in an organisation incurring considerable additional costs through
lost man hours.
BG Group plc, the global energy supplier with operations in over
25 countries across 5 world continents, has acted to safeguard
its keys at its site in [insert name], purchasing a deister electronic
proxSafe key management system.
The proxSafe system is an intelligent key management system. It
can secure large numbers of keys out of view in a stylish aluminium
key cabinet, providing a cost-effective access control solution
to doors which are still secured by a conventional lock and key.
Smart RFID keytags are at the heart of the system, which are secured
in the cabinet using proxCylinders, a combination of a proximity
reader and a mechanical lock.
Darren Harrold, Sales and Marketing Director of deister electronic
UK, sees installations with such international organisations as
being very important to the company’s on-going growth and

proxSafe offers a number of configuration possibilities ranging
from a stand-alone installation, becoming operational without
any need for a personal computer, to being integrated within an
organisation’s I.T. network. Importantly for the management
of users and keys, the proxSafe commander software allows assignment
of keys to users, as well as providing detailed calendar and reporting
functions.
An organisation’s small but valuable items, such as mobile
telephones, PDAs and digital cameras, can also be securely managed
using proxSafe, and deister electronic offers a number of modular
cabinet designs to provide such application flexibility.
